Juicy air-fried beef patties seasoned to perfection and ready in minutes.

# What You Need:

→ Meat

01 - 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)

→ Seasonings

02 - 1 tsp kosher salt
03 - 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
04 - 1 tsp garlic powder
05 - 1 tsp onion powder
06 - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

→ Optional Add-ins

07 - 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (for extra tenderness, optional)
08 - 1 egg (optional, for binding if using leaner beef)

→ To Serve

09 - 4 hamburger buns
10 - Lettuce leaves
11 - Sliced tomato
12 - Sliced onion
13 - Sliced pickles
14 - Cheese slices (optional)
15 - Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise

# How-To:

01 - In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and optional breadcrumbs and egg if desired. Mix gently until just combined—avoid overmixing for tender patties.
02 - Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Use your thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.
03 - Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
04 - Arrange the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving a little space between them.
05 - Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until patties reach your desired doneness (160°F internal temperature for medium-well).
06 - If using cheese, add a slice to each patty during the last minute of cooking.
07 - Remove patties from the air fryer and let rest for 2 minutes.
08 - Assemble burgers with buns and desired toppings. Serve immediately.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The air fryer creates this gorgeous crust on the outside while keeping the inside ridiculously tender, almost like they spent time on a grill but without all the setup and cleanup
  • These come together in under 25 minutes from start to finish, which means you are eating a real dinner even on the most chaotic weeknights
  • The 8020 beef ratio is nonnegotiable here, that extra fat is what makes these taste like they came from a burger joint instead of your kitchen
02 -
  • Never press down on the patties while they cook, I learned this the hard way and ended up with dry disappointing burgers, let the air fryer do its job
  • The thumbprint in the center actually works, I was skeptical for years but it keeps the burgers flat and prevents that annoying puffed up middle
  • A meat thermometer takes all the guesswork out, nobody wants to cut into every burger to check if it is done
03 -
  • If your air fryer runs hot, check the patties at 8 minutes, every machine is different and you cannot undo an overcooked burger
  • Line the drip tray with foil for easier cleanup, but never put foil in the basket itself where it blocks air circulation
