Red White Blue Ice Cubes (Printable Version)

Colorful layered ice cubes with blueberries, coconut and strawberries for a festive patriotic touch to chilled beverages.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
02 - 1/2 cup strawberries, hulled and chopped
03 - 1/2 cup fresh coconut meat or unsweetened shredded coconut

→ Liquids

04 - 1 cup coconut water
05 - 1 cup natural blueberry juice
06 - 1 cup natural strawberry juice or cranberry juice

# How-To:

01 - Wash and prepare all fruit. Hull and chop the strawberries and measure blueberries and coconut.
02 - Fill one-third of each compartment in an ice cube tray with blueberries and add enough blueberry juice to just cover. Place the tray in the freezer and freeze for approximately 1 hour, or until solid.
03 - Once the blue layer is solid, add a layer of coconut meat or a sprinkle of shredded coconut on top. Pour coconut water to fill the next third of each compartment. Return the tray to the freezer for another hour or until firm.
04 - Layer chopped strawberries on top of the coconut, then pour strawberry juice or cranberry juice to fill each compartment. Freeze until fully solid, about 2 additional hours.
05 - Once completely frozen, remove ice cubes from the tray and add to lemonade, sparkling water, or cocktails for a festive, colorful garnish.
