15 - 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
16 - 1/2 tsp toasted sesame seeds

→ Garnish

17 - 2 green onions, thinly sliced
18 - Extra sesame seeds

# How-To:

01 - In a large bowl, toss chicken pieces with vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
02 - Whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame seeds in a separate bowl until well combined.
03 - Add zucchini, bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, and broccoli to the seasoned chicken. Pour half the hibachi sauce over the mixture and toss to coat everything evenly.
04 - Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
05 - Place the chicken and vegetables in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
06 - Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the chicken is cooked through and vegetables are crisp-tender.
07 - Transfer to a serving platter, drizzle with the remaining hibachi sauce, and sprinkle with sliced green onions and extra sesame seeds. Serve immediately with steamed rice or cauliflower rice.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The vegetables stay crisp-tender instead of turning into that sad mush you get from delivery containers
  • That hibachi sauce hits every single flavor note sweet, salty, savory without requiring a single restaurant-grade flattop grill
02 -
  • Marinating the chicken in half the sauce for thirty minutes before cooking adds depth, but do not skip that final sauce drizzle or you will miss that glossy finish
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket, uneven cooking happens when ingredients are stacked on top of each other
03 -
  • Cut your vegetables into similar sizes so they finish cooking at the same time, nobody wants mushy broccoli alongside crisp peppers
  • Let the air fryer come to temperature completely before adding food, that initial blast of heat creates the best texture
