# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It tastes like you spent hours in the kitchen, but it's done in less time than most takeout deliveries.
  • The creamy garlic-parmesan sauce clings to every pillowy gnocchi like a warm hug on a plate.
  • You only need one skillet after boiling the gnocchi, which means fewer dishes and more time enjoying the meal.
  • It's flexible enough to swap ingredients based on what you have, yet always feels special.
02 -
  • Don't skip draining the gnocchi well, extra water will thin out your sauce and make it watery instead of creamy.
  • Let the sausage brown without stirring it too much at first, those caramelized bits add so much flavor to the whole dish.
  • Add the Parmesan off the heat or on very low heat so it melts smoothly without clumping or turning grainy.
03 -
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan instead of the pre-shredded kind, it melts into the sauce without any graininess and tastes so much better.
  • Taste the sauce before adding the gnocchi and adjust the seasoning then, it's easier to fix before everything is mixed together.
  • If you like extra garlic, add an extra clove or two, this dish can handle it and the flavor only gets better.
